Ash Blackler

Ash’s journey in construction began when he qualified as a builder and started his career working on a retirement village project. From there, he progressed into high-end architectural building, gaining years of experience in crafting bespoke homes with precision and attention to detail. Seeking new challenges, Ash moved to the Australian mining industry, where he gained valuable skills in planning, efficiency, working under strict safety and quality standards, while maintaining an extremely high work ethic. However, his passion for building never faded, and he soon realised that his true calling was in creating homes. He was drawn back to construction by the hands-on approach, the ability to step back and see what he had built, and the immense satisfaction of creating something tangible and lasting. Ash’s favourite part of building is taking a drawing on paper and transforming it into a structure that stands strong, functional, and beautiful. He takes great pride in his work, knowing that the homes he builds bring both satisfaction to his clients and a deep sense of accomplishment to himself.

Dan Howie-Cleminson

Dan has always been drawn to hard work and hands-on challenges, which led him to a career in the New Zealand Defence Force. During his time in the military, he developed discipline, leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt under pressure while maintaining precision in high-stakes environments. After leaving the Army, Dan felt a strong pull toward creating something tangible and lasting. He was drawn to building because it allowed him to work with his hands, overcome challenges, and take pride in delivering a finished product that clients love. Dan’s building experience started with an apprenticeship with an old-school Kiwi builder, where he learned the trade from the ground up—doing everything by hand and gaining extensive experience in renovations and rural buildings. Over time, he progressed into new builds and eventually high-end architectural construction, refining his expertise in complex, bespoke projects that demand precision and innovation. For Dan, the most rewarding part of his job is being tested by the challenges of a build, overcoming them, and handing over a quality home that both he and his clients are proud of.
